ENCINITAS — Lux Art Institute showcases the work of its current resident artist, James Chronister, through May 18. Chronister, a pointillist painter, will be working in residence at the institute through April 13. Visitors can watch the artist at work 1 p.m.-5 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays. The institute also features a rotating roster of artists in its store.
