About Us

OsideNews, founded in 2013, is an online news journal dedicated to covering the communities of Oceanside, plus the nearby cities of Carlsbad, Encinitas and surrounding communities. OsideNews also occasionally covers news and events of broader North County interest. In February 2022, OsideNews joined with the Encinitas-based North Coast Current, founded in 2002. OsideNews’ union with the North Coast Current brings together 20 years of community journalism along the North Coast of San Diego County.
