SAN MARCOS — Vista entrepreneur Art Barter, owner and chairman of Datron World Communications Inc. and president and CEO of Servant Leadership Institute, is set to receive the Palomar College Comet Award at the 22nd annual Palomar College Black-Tie Gala, “Palomar’s Star Spangled Salute to Education” Nov. 16 at the La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad. The event begins at 6 p.m. and includes a silent auction, dinner, student entertainment, a live auction, a casino and dancing. Black-tie attire is recommended.
