CARLSBAD: Register now for March 21 ‘Carlsbad Love It!’ community conference

CARLSBAD — Registration is underway for the city of Carlsbad’s second annual neighborhoods empowerment conference, “Carlsbad Love It!” The conference is scheduled for March 21, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., at the Sheraton Carlsbad Resort and Spa. The free half-day conference is for Carlsbad residents interested in strengthening the sense of community in their neighborhoods and city. The theme of this year’s conference is “Working Together to Build and Sustain Healthy Neighborhoods.” The conference will include inspirational speakers and workshops conducted by local leaders. The workshop sessions will feature presentations, discussions and new ideas that participants can apply in their neighborhoods. Conference admission is free. Onsite childcare for potty-trained children up to 12 years old will be provided by the City of Carlsbad Parks and Recreation Department. Registration is required for attendance, and participants will be registered on a first come, first served basis.
