CARLSBAD — Carlsbad hosts two events for baseball fans in June at city libraries. A screening of the documentary “Ball Talk: Baseball’s Voice of Summer,” with film Director Kevin Bender, is set for June 13 at 1 p.m. at the Georgina Cole Library, 1250 Carlsbad Village Drive. The second event is a baseball discussion panel featuring local experts on June 20 at 11 a.m. at Carlsbad City Library, 1775 Dove Lane. The June 20 panel will feature Bender, sportscaster and author Bob Chandler, and author and baseball historian Bill Swank. Admission to both events is free.
