SOLANA BEACH — Local nonprofit Banding Together and music venue Belly Up will host a fundraising concert event Jan. 31, 2-5 p.m., at the Belly Up. Banding Together, a local nonprofit organization that provides music opportunities to young people with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities, was launched in 2009 by certified neurologic music therapists Julie Guy and Angela Neve. The afternoon fundraising concert and live auction will showcase local musicians such as The Love Birds, Tolan Shaw and Dr. Seahorse. A portion of all tickets sales and proceeds from the raffle and live auction will benefit Banding Together’s mission. Tickets to the age-21-and-above event are $10 in advance; $12 at the door.
