Voters in the San Dieguito Union High School District returned two incumbents to the Board of Trustees on Nov. 6, according to results from the county registrar of voters.

With 100 percent of precincts reporting, the results show that Joyce Dalessandro and Beth Hergesheimer will retain their seats over two newcomers. Former San Diego news anchorman Graham Ledger had run on a fiscally conservative tea party platform. Former Del Mar schools trustee Steve McDowell was the other candidate.

The results are preliminary, according to the registrar of voters, with about 475,000 absentee and provisional ballots remaining to be counted region-wide as of 10:30 a.m. Nov. 7.

Vote breakdown:
Joyce Dalessandro, 31.30 percent
Beth Hergesheimer, 29.58 percent
Steve McDowell, 21.92 percent
Graham Ledger, 17.20 percent
