ENCINITAS: Noted local songwriters to perform March 7 at Methodist church

ENCINITAS — San Diego Folk Heritage hosts local songwriters Cindy Lee Berryhill and Peter Bolland on March 7 at 7:30 p.m. At the San Dieguito United Methodist Church, 170 Calle Magdalena in Encinitas. Admission is $15 for members and $18 standard, available at the door or online. Berryhill is a novelist and activist, and a founder of the “antifolk” movement. She has released six albums since 1988, earning four-star reviews in Rolling Stone, among others. Bolland writes columns for for the San Diego Troubadour and Unity Magazine, publishes a blog, leads Satsangs, and is a philosophy professor and humanities department chair at Southwestern College. San Diego Folk Heritage is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the folk arts in Southern California.
