Coaster and Amtrak Surfliner train service will be suspended between Oceanside and downtown San Diego for two weekends in March as rail construction continues, the San Diego Association of Governments announced Feb. 22.

The service disruptions are scheduled for Saturday, March 2, through Monday, March 4, and Saturday, March 9 through Monday, March 11. Freight service will also be suspended during those times, according to SANDAG’s announcement. Closure hours will run midnight Saturday through 5 a.m. Monday, with regular passenger service resuming in time for the Monday morning commute.

The work schedules are subject to change. More information is available online at www.gonctd.com, www.amtrak.com or www.metrolinktrains.com.
