A suspect has been arrested in connection with the death of an Encinitas woman, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department announced Friday evening, Oct. 11.

The arrest was made three days after the discovery of a woman’s body in a dwelling in the 1200 block of Summit Avenue in Cardiff, authorities reported.

At about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, detectives from the sheriff’s North Coastal Station in Encinitas served a search warrant at the property and found the body in a smaller structure behind the main residence, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

Authorities later identified the woman as Sabrina Lukosky, 43.

Sheriff’s homicide detectives obtained an arrest warrant on Oct. 11 for Henry Simon Cowen, 41, of Encinitas, identified as Lukosky’s boyfriend, the Sheriff’s Department stated in its report. Cowen was arrested by U.S. marshals in Riverside and booked into the Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of murder, according to the report.

Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation, the Sheriff’s Department stated.
