The Encinitas-based Community Resource Center seeks donations for Holiday Baskets between Dec. 6-12 and Dec. 13.

The collections go toward a three-day distribution at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, which delivers items such as food, coats, blankets and more to over 6,000 people in need, including 3,000 children and 300 seniors, according to a Community Resource Center announcement. The event also helps families connect to the center’s services, such as food, case management, counseling and shelter from domestic violence.

Holiday Baskets donations can be delivered to the Del Mar Fairgrounds Grandstand at the following times:

Friday, Dec. 6 to Thursday, Dec. 12, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday, Dec. 13, 9 a.m. to noon

Deliver donations to the Del Mar Fairgrounds Grandstand, 2260 Jimmy Durante Blvd. in Del Mar. Enter through the Solana Gate. Donations can also be dropped off at the Community Resource Center’s resale stores. Donations should be marked for Holiday Baskets.
