ENCINITAS — Step back into Encinitas holiday history with a visit to the Teten House at the Heritage Ranch, part of the nonprofit San Dieguito Heritage Museum. The house, furnished with Teten family possessions, is currently decorated for Christmas. Decorations include classics such as vintage bubble lights, real candles on a Christmas tree and strung popcorn. Stockings are also hung, and a table is set for holiday dinner. Visitors can also hear stories about the Teten family told by ranch docents. Teten House tours are available Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. General museum admission is $6. Seniors and children are $4. Children under 6 are free. The Teten House is located at the Heritage Ranch, 450 Quail Gardens Drive in Encinitas.
