Real estate group RPG now owns the entire stock of commercial space in Encinitas’ Pacific Station property after a recent $5.9 million purchase, the company announced.
The purchase is among several projects underway in Encinitas, RPG stated in a Jan. 16 news release.
The company already owned 39,000 square feet of retail, creative office and restaurant space — purchased in 2018 — in the mixed-use downtown Encinitas development. The purchase of the office building places the full 100,000 square feet of commercial space in the company’s hands.
“The acquisition of this office building is directly in line with our ongoing strategy of owning well-located, modern, creative, and value-add assets,” RPG founder and President Adam Robinson said in the announcement. “Because the office space is adjacent to additional assets already owned by our firm, including our new company headquarters, we are aware of the strengths and appeal of the location.”
Encinitas-based RPG plans to rebrand an Encinitas boxing gym as Encinitas Wellness Center, according to the company. Approvals are also in the works for mixed-use projects in Leucadia and on the BMW Encinitas site owned by the firm. RPG is also renovating an 11-unit Leucadia apartment complex.
The Pacific Station office space is located at 687 South Coast Highway 101. Peter Curry of Cushman & Wakefield represented RPG as the broker in acquiring the 9,733-square-foot property.
