Oceanside CA— The Oceanside Public Library and the Friends of the Oceanside Public Library are proud to present Mariachi Pai Pai as part of the 2015 World Music Series. This free concert will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015, in the Civic Center Library Community Rooms located 330 N. Coast Highway. Performance time will be 1:00 p.m. Free parking is available in the Civic Center parking garage.
Mariachi Pai Pai is a group comprised of five mariachi musicians that together have over a 100 years of experience playing the mariachi repertoire. Armando Galvan, music director and trumpet player, formed the ensemble over 10 years ago with the vision to bring professional free-lance mariacheros (mariachi musicians) together in order to provide quality music to its patrons. The ensemble consists of two trumpets, violin, guitarron (bass), and vihuela (rhythm guitar). Mariachi Pai Pai prides itself in executing traditional mariachi repertoire with musical integrity and upholding of traditional harmonies and performance practices.
Doors for this free performance open at 12:45 p.m. and it is open seating.
