Oceanside CA— So says Captain Tony Nino, of the charter boat Bluefin, out of Mission Bay. Capt. Nino will be the guest speaker at the June 7 meeting of the Oceanside Senior Anglers.
Starting at age 17, Captain Nino started working on his dad’s friend’s boat, the Fire Hat. After gaining experience, and running his own charters, in 2015, he was able to purchase his own boat and christened it the Bluefin.
Captain Nino will be talking to the club about finding a boat and getting started in the very tough charter business. Fish reports for the last six weeks have listed the Bluefin several times as one of the few boats that have limited out on excellent grade tuna, right now off our coast.
