Oceanside CA— Americans will celebrate National Voter Registration Day with a massive 50-state effort to register voters before Election Day this November. Oceanside Public Library is proud to be a National Voter Registration Day partner.
On Tuesday, September 27, the Library will engage its community and register voters at the following events:
Voter Registration: Civic Center Library from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., 330 N. Coast Highway, Oceanside CA. 92054
Voter Registration: Mission Branch Library from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., 3861-B Mission Ave Oceanside, CA. 92058
Library Director Sherri Cosby says, “Voting is one of our greatest freedoms, and I’m so glad we can help our community register to vote.” With a historic presidential election approaching, every eligible American voter should exercise his or her right to be heard at the ballot box, and National Voter Registration Day is the right place to start by getting registered.
Thousands of national, state, and local organizations and volunteers will be the driving force behind National Voter Registration Day 2016. Partner organizations will coordinate hundreds of National Voter Registration Day events nationwide.
Founded in 2012 in anticipation of the presidential election, National Voter Registration Day is designed to create an annual moment when the entire nation focuses on registering Americans to exercise their most basic right—the right to vote. More than 650,000 Americans have been registered to vote since the inaugural National Voter Registration Day.
