San Diego CA— On August 11, coffee lovers, creators and artists will come together at Sandbox Venue for Unfiltered SD – a one day event where the community comes to connect, caffeinate and create.
Kicking off at 1:00 pm, guests are invited to gather at this expansive experiential space for an event highlighting local food and beverage, incredibly talented artists and their new work and live music curated by art label, As We Arrive. Attendees will be able to connect with the community through interactive installations including a live mural by Crash Boom Designs, engage in conversations with local coffee vendors including MeKa Coffee and Modern Times Brewery and experience the energy of the San Diego community when brought in one space.
“Unfiltered was just an idea when starting Coffee & Convos in 2015, and finally came to fruition last Summer,” says Founder of Coffee & Convos, Alyssa Mopia. “This event brings everything I am passionate about in one place, supporting craft coffee, art and music. We all use coffee as a fuel to create and I want to commemorate that through Unfiltered.”
Since the launch of Coffee & Convos in 2015, Alyssa has turned the digital platform into a podcast this past June sharing the conversations she has with artists and creators in coffee shops. With the successful online presence, her goal is to create events like Unfiltered to bring those active online to engage with others in person.
The event is on Saturday, August 11 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Sandbox Venue. Tickets are $10 per person for general admission. Each guest will receive exclusive discounts from participating vendors and experience San Diego’s finest craft coffee, artwork and music. The first 50 guests to arrive will receive a gift bag of goodies including a complimentary cocktail from Snake Oil Cocktail, swag from Coffee & Convos and plenty more!
