Carlsbad CA— Join the Carlsbad Republican Women (CRWF) on Tuesday, November 17th, as we welcome Shannon Grove, CA State Senate Republican Leader. We will meet virtually on ZOOM and look forward to Ms. Grove’s presentation on “Politics Today.” With the 2020 Election results, Senator Grove’s insights on our state and national politics will be particularly timely!
Grove was elected in 2010 and served three terms as State Assemblywoman in the 34th District. While in the Assembly, she focused on supporting the disabled community with additional funding, fought for water funding, and increased job growth in her district. In 2018, Grove was elected to the CA State Senate in the 16th Senate District. In 2019, Senate Republicans chose Grove as their leader. Senator Grove is proud to serve as the Vice-Chair for the Senate Committee on Veterans Affairs. Grove will also serve as a member of the Senate Committee on Health.
After graduating from high school, Shannon served in the United States Army and was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany in 1989 where she witnessed the fall of the Berlin Wall. This experience solidified her passionate patriotism and appreciation for the freedoms our country offers to all people. Following her service to our nation, Shannon worked for two temporary staffing agencies. This led to her establishing her own staffing company, Continental Labor and Staffing Resources in 1993, with her sister-in-law. Grove is the CEO of the company which serves Bakersfield and Ridgecrest. Grove lives in Kern County with her husband, Rick. They are the proud parents of five children and six grandchildren.
