Carlsbad CA— This afternoon, January 6th, 2015 at approximately 2:15 pm, Carlsbad Police Officers were dispatched to the US Bank at 2520 El Camino Real regarding a robbery that had just occurred.
The caller reported that an unknown age white male approached a teller and displayed a handgun and demanded money. The teller gave the suspect an unknown amount of U.S. currency. The suspect fled the area on a bicycle east bound on Haymar Road.
Officers responded to the scene and searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate him. Officers found a witness who said that a male matching the robbery suspect’s description was seen on Haymar Road. The witness saw the suspect place a bike in a late model white SUV driven by a white female. The suspect left the area in the white SUV driven by the female.
Carlsbad Police Officers and the FBI are conducting the investigation.
