Oceanside CA— The FBI and Oceanside Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify an unknown male, nicknamed the ‘Have-To-Do-It Bandit’, responsible for robbing the BBVA Compass Bank, located 815 Mission Avenue, Oceanside, California, on Saturday, May 30, 2015.
On Saturday, May 30, 2015, at approximately 12:50 p.m., an unknown male robbed the BBVA Compass Bank, located 815 Mission Avenue, Oceanside, California. According to witnesses, the robber waited in line, approached the first available teller and handed a note to them. The note demanded the teller to put all the money in a bag and no one would get hurt. The robber apologized multiple times during the robbery and indicated that he had to rob the bank.
After receiving a sum of money the robber exited the bank. The robber was last seen leaving the bank, heading south.
Witnesses describe the robber as follows:
Sex: Male
Race: White
Age: Between 20 and 40 years old
Height: Approximately 5’6” to 5’7” tall
Weight: Approximately 140 – 150 lbs.
Clothing: Long-sleeved, horizontally-striped, gray and blue, v-neck hoodie
Sweatshirt, dark blue jeans, and tennis shoes
Tattoos: None visible
