
Weekend Event to Help San Diego County Residents Protect Their Lives and Properties from Wildfire
San Diego County CA—To help homeowners and businesses stay fire prevention ready during the continuing severe drought in California, the California Fire Safe Counsel (CFSC), Farmers Insurance Group and the Fire Safe Council of San Diego County will present a “Wildfire Community Preparedness Day” on April 23.

The day will begin with presentations from state and local fire experts, offering information about the unique fire dangers in San Diego County, and how residents and business owners can help stay safe when the next wildfire hits. Speakers include:

Following the presentations, lunch will be served and attendees are invited to visit hands-on exhibits by vendors providing vital products and services to help before, during, and after a fire. There will also be a variety of activities aimed at keeping young children entertained, while their parents learn about fire safety. Children’s activities will include a visit by Smokey Bear, a jump house, face painter, fire trucks, as well as a variety of fun outdoor games and activities. Vendors will include:
