Oceanside CA— Last night at 9:23pm, September 7, 2016, Oceanside Police Officers responded to a radio call of a subject shot in the 1200 block of Division St. OPD Officers arrived on scene and found a 23 year-old adult male victim on the sidewalk having sustained at least one gunshot wound.
Victim was ground transported to Palomar Hospital in Escondido where he is expected to survive.
At least one witness described a black vehicle, possibly a Toyota Camry, occupied by 4 males as being the vehicle from which the gunfire originated. The vehicle then drove off westbound on Division.
Investigation ongoing as it relates to motive, evidence collection, and the identification of suspects.
