Oceanside CA—In the interest of public health and as a precaution to help limit the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) the Civic Center Library, Mission Branch Library, Oceanside READS Learning Center and Bookmobiles will be closed beginning March 17. We expect this closure until April 1, when the situation will be reassessed.
Due dates for all materials will be extended, and late fees will not be enforced.
All reservations for study rooms have been canceled, and all Library events and programs have been canceled. The Library is not accepting donations at this time.
We hope at this time that you take advantage of the abundance of online resources offered by the Library, including electronic books, audiobooks, picture books, comics, magazines and movies through apps such as Hoopla, Libby and TumbleBooks. If you haven’t tried them yet, visit www.oceansidepubliclibrary.org and try them out. Give us a call at 760-435-5600 for any help or questions.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us keep our public libraries safe and welcoming. Our priority continues to be the health, safety, and well-being of our community members, staff, and volunteers. We continue to monitor the latest news and guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in direct coordinated efforts with the City of Oceanside and its Departments.
Please check the Library’s website and social media pages for continued updates and reopening notices.
