Oceanside CA—Early this morning, Saturday May 22, at approximately 1:50 am, the Oceanside Police Department responded to a collision involving a vehicle and bicyclist at Oceanside Blvd and Beverly Glen Dr. Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive male lying along the north portion of the roadway west of the intersection. Oceanside Fire Dept responded and pronounced the unknown male deceased.

Based on physical evidence at the scene and witness statements, the bicyclist was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound on Oceanside Blvd. The vehicle was seized and the driver arrested pending a driver impairment investigation. The decedent has not been identified at this time.
