California is the second most expensive state for average household bills, with Encinitas, Carlsbad, Solana Beach and Del Mar cracking the top 100 for most expensive in the state, according to statistics released Thursday, Aug. 3, by consumer financial management company doxo.

Other North San Diego County communities fared better on the list, including the region’s two largest cities, Oceanside and Escondido, which placed 201st and 254th respectively out of 431 communities statewide.

Marin County was the most expensive county in California, according to doxo. Hawaii ranked as the most expensive state for household bills.
