ENCINITAS — The Encinitas Historical Society offers a free educational downtown walking tour on Saturday, Aug. 19 starting at 10 a.m.

Participants should meet at the 1883 One-Room Schoolhouse, 390 West F St. in downtown Encinitas. Onsite parking is available. No registration is necessary for the tour, which takes about two hours. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water. Dogs are also welcome. Donations to the Encinitas Historical Society are appreciated.
