Aloha Solar Power of Encinitas is among teams slated to compete in the 2024 Solar Games from Jan. 17 to 19 at the Intersolar North America and Energy Storage North America industry conference in San Diego.

Solar Games installation teams must build solar and storage systems during a bracket-style tournament over three days, according to an event news release. The top two teams will then face off in a Championship Round where the winning team will be crowned the 2024 Champion and awarded a $10,000 cash prize. Second- and third-place teams win $3,500 and $2,500 respectively.

Aloha Solar Power was the 2023 Solar Games champion.

“It’s remarkable to watch the industry’s brightest talents in action,” ISNA/ESNA Vice President Wes Doane said in the news release. “With an incredible line-up for this year’s Solar Games — perhaps our most competitive roster thus far — the tournament promises to be a crowd pleaser for spectators and participants alike.”

The Intersolar North America and Energy Storage North America conference covers the latest energy technologies, services, companies and organizations working to support a transition to more sustainable energy solutions.
