ENCINITAS — The Surfrider Foundation joins Hansen Surfboards and Outerknown for a beach cleanup Saturday, July 19, at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas with related events 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event kicks off with a Firewire + Slater Designs surfboard demo at 8 a.m., followed by the cleanup, which starts at 9 a.m. The meeting location for the cleanup will be on the sand just north of the restrooms and volleyball courts. From noon to 3 p.m., participants can enjoy live music, cold drinks and food at Hansen Surfboards, 1105 S. Coast Highway 101.
