Contemporary furniture retailer Scandinavian Designs opens its Encinitas store with a ribbon-cutting Friday, Sept. 19, followed by festivities through Sept. 21, the company recently announced.
The ribbon-cutting takes place at its new Encinitas Ranch Town Center location, 1014 N. El Camino Real, the former site of BuyBuy Baby. The permanent showroom replaces a pop-up store located across the parking lot.
“At Scandinavian Designs, we believe in offering beautiful, well-crafted furniture at an exceptional value,” Scandinavian Designs Chief Administrative Officer Mark Gehler said in a company news release. “We’re excited to bring that vision to life in Encinitas with a showroom designed to inspire and welcome the local community.”
The grand opening weekend will include special promotions such as a drawing to win a Stressless Wing recliner and ottoman ($3,295 value) or one of three home decor bundles (up to $200 value).
Scandinavian Designs opened as a small showroom in San Rafael in 1963 and has since grown to more than 40 stores across 14 states. The company’s headquarters are in Boise, Idaho. It also owns the Dania Furniture company.
