The 44th annual Miss Oceanside Scholarship Pageant was held on Saturday, May 9, at the Star Theatre in Oceanside.
The annual pageant is sponsored by the Oceanside Sea Lions, part of Lions International with more than 1.4 million members worldwide. All net proceeds from the pageant will go to scholarships for the winners and other Lions charities with a focus on sight, childhood cancer, diabetes, hunger and the environment.
The winners become goodwill ambassadors for the city of Oceanside and the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce and do community service work throughout the year.
The new Miss Teen Oceanside is Isla Lewis and Miss Oceanside is Gabriella Quezada. Teen princesses include Valeria Mendez, Samantha Contreras and Kaylee Chavez. Miss Princesses include Adriana Milan Solorio, Maricela Diaz and Brooklyn McKinney.
