WORLDLY QUIZ – A number of you agree with me about the woeful lack of geography being taught in our public school. So, if you have children or grandchildren, test them on their global knowledge – it may even pique your own interest. Have them answer these questions:

  1. What’s the capital city of Cyprus? – (A tough one)
  2. Saipan is an island in what chain? – (Semi-tough)
  3. Which is further west: Reno, Nev., or Los Angeles? – (Easy)
  4. What is the largest of the Great Lakes? – (Even easier)
  5. What are the four primary countries in the United Kingdom? – (I say…)

If you don’t know the answers, (tsk, tsk), you should look ‘em up with your kids.
