Oceanside CA— The identity of the motorcyclist killed in a collision on North River in Oceanside, December 30, 2014, has been released by the San Diego County Corner.
Alejandro Wayne Vega, 25 a Puerto Rican male living in Oceanside, was traveling west on North River Road when a white Toyota van from Toyota of Carlsbad made a left turn from eastbound North River Road to northbound Festival Drive.
Vega, riding a 2009 Yamaha YZFR1 struck the van broadside. Oceanside Police and Fire Departments responded and Vega was declared dead at the scene. The San Diego County Coroner reports multiple blunt force trauma as the cause of death.
The driver of the van and a passenger were taken to Tri City Medical Center. Their injuries were non-life threatening.
