Oceanside CA— One of the two people found dead in a southeast Oceanside mobile home has been identified by the San Diego County Coroner as Janet Choe, 59.
Choe was a 59 year old female who rented a room in Poway.
On January 6, 2015, Choe went to the mobile home where she use to reside at 319 Horizon Lane in the Rancho Cavelero Mobile Home Park. On the evening of January 7, Oceanside Police Department officers responded to the residence to check on her welfare and found her with a gunshot wound to her head.
Janet Choe’s death was confirmed without medical intervention. The identity of second body, a male, found in the residence has not been released
The investigation is being treated as a homicide. Whether the incident is a murder/suicide or double homicide has not yet been determined.
The Oceanside Police Department is reaching out to the public for assistance. Anyone with information regarding the residents or the incident on Wednesday, is asked to call the Oceanside Police Department at (760)435-4911.
