Oceanside CA— The Western Surfing Association, WSA, sixth event of the season continues today at the South Jetty, Oceanside Harbor. Heats begin at 7:00am. Surfer range in age divisions from under 10 to the Legends division with surfers over 50 years-old
The Western Surfing Association (WSA) is the oldest amateur surfing association in the USA and, by far, the largest on the West Coast. The WSA, established in 1961, is a California non-profit corporation dedicated to promoting and preserving the sport of surfing through fun, family oriented surf competitions.
Water temperatures are around 60 degrees, a 3 – 4 foot surf with a combination of WNW and SSW swells.
