Oceanside CA— The City of Oceanside Parks & Recreation Division and the Senior Citizen Standing Committee are now accepting nominations for the “Senior Citizen of the Year” award. Please nominate a senior (age 55+) who has volunteered and/or taken action to make Oceanside a better place to live, work, or play.
Please submit the senior citizen’s name, and a one-page, 200-word essay about the nominee. Nominations may be submitted to the Parks & Recreation Division Office at 300 N. Coast Highway, Oceanside, CA. 92054. The deadline is Friday, September 4 at 4:00 p.m.
The Senior Citizen of the Year award winner will be announced at the Senior Expo on Thursday, October 8, 2015, at noon, in front of the Oceanside Public Library, located at the Civic Center, 330 N.
