Carlsbad CA— This morning, September 12 2015, at 8:45 a.m., officers from the Carlsbad Police Department responded to a roll-over collision between a Honda and a ¾ ton truck on Cannon Drive west of Hemingway.
The preliminary investigation suggests that both the Honda and the truck were traveling Westbound on Cannon Drive when the collision occurred. The truck rolled over several times and the driver, from Carlsbad, had to be extricated by the Carlsbad Fire Department. The driver of the truck was transported to Scripps Hospital where he was later released.
Alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor. At this time fault has not been determined.
Cannon Drive was closed between Faraday and Hemingway from the time of the collision until 12:30 pm. All roadways are now re-opened.
The investigation is being handled by the Carlsbad Police Department Traffic Division.
