OCEANSIDE — The Oceanside International Film Festival is coming to downtown Oceanside on Aug. 22-25. The festival has scheduled several workshops from screenwriting to creating and promoting films. Each workshop is $10 and will be presented by an award-winning expert from the field. Food will also be available for purchase at the site.

Fifty independent films will be presented, with a good mixture from local and international artists. Films will be shown in specially themed screening blocks, such as Social Responsibility for Youth, Military, Sentimental and Emotional Appeal, Serious Dramas and others.
