Oceanside CA— Join the Oceanside Public Library and Oceanside Historical Society President Kristi Hawthorne for “Latinos in Oceanside: A Photo History Project” on Saturday, October 15, at 10:30 a.m., in the Civic Center Library Community Rooms, 330 North Coast Highway, Oceanside, 92054.

This program will highlight some of the personal stories of Oceanside Latino residents, along with dozens of historic photographs from Oceanside’s Latino families. The public is invited to listen to these stories, share their own, and enjoy these remarkable images from the past.
Photographs were collected through joint projects of the Library and Historical Society, the most recent being a “Latino Americans: 500 Years of History” grant project, funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities and the American Library Association.
