Carlsbad CA— On October 05, at 3:48 p.m., Officers from the Carlsbad Police Department responded to a major injury personal watercraft (PWC) collision on the Agua Hedionda lagoon. The preliminary investigation suggests that two PWC operators were on rented PWCs on the lagoon and collided.
The collision caused major head injuries to a 47-year-old male from Fontana. The injured party was transported to Scripps La Jolla.
The second PWC operator has not been identified at this time and it is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the collision.
At this time fault has not been determined.
