Oceanside CA— Maria Grant was a volunteer at OPD’s front desk for several years and has great respect and support for law enforcement. Maria also believes strongly that young people are the future and wanted to donate towards that future. Maria works with the MiraCosta College Foundation in managing her donations. Maria has decided to donate quarterly to the Oceanside Police Department’s Explorer Program to support those who will hopefully one day become law enforcement officers.
This quarter’s donation, $345 and was presented to Detective Ryan Malone and Explorer Julen Payo by Maria and MiraCosta College Public Safety Officer Jessica Taft, who is a former employee of OPD.
The members of the Oceanside Police Explorer Program are eternally grateful for the selfless donation.
