Carlsbad CA— Last night, July 21, 2018, at 9:50 p.m., officers from the Carlsbad Police Department responded to the 4600 hundred block of El Camino Real after the Carlsbad Dispatch Center received reports of a vehicle that struck a pedestrian.
Arriving police officers found a non-responsive 30-year-old male lying in the roadway. The male sustained very serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle. The Carlsbad Fire Department responded and transported the male to Palomar hospital where he is being treated.
The driver of the vehicle that hit the pedestrian remained at the scene and was interviewed by traffic officers who responded to conduct a full investigation.
The investigation remains ongoing.
