Oceanside CA— Lizzie Waters, the 17-year-old winner of the Oceanside’s Got Talent contest received a front of line audition ticket for next season’s America’s Got Talent and two tickets to attend one of the current season’s live shows. The teen singer and musician, who writes her own songs, begins college this fall at UC Santa Barbara.
Hundreds of fans cheered on Thursday as 21 finalists, selected from two auditions and an earlier August Semi-Finals, competed on stage. The second-place contest winners were sisters Alyssa, Ariana and Kayliana Reeves, who performed a “Hip Hop Stranger Things” tribute to the TV show; third place winner was rapper 13-year-old Asher DeVito, and Military winner was vocalist Amber Rawlings, who is stationed at Camp Pendleton.
Mission Marketplace, located at the corner of Highway 76 and College Boulevard in Oceanside, frequently sponsors free community events. Cynthia Gonzalez, Senior Marketing Director for Mission Marketplace, and the San Diego Division of NewMark Merrill Companies, created the contest to showcase the talented people in Oceanside.
