A Tribute to Former O’side City Clerk, Barbara Riegal Wayne- March 30

Oceanside CA— Barbara Riegal Wayne, retired City Clerk of Oceanside passed away on February 18, 2019. Barbara worked 42 years for the City of Oceanside. 32 of these years were spent as city clerk, who as an elected official was undefeated.
Barbara endured 31 elections, countless meetings and outlasted 3 Mayors, 16 Council members and 9 City Managers. She brought integrity and credibility to the office of City Clerk, taking them from the manual typewriter to the digital age, making friends both internationally and at home.

A Celebration of Life for Barbara will be held March 30 at the El Corazon Senior Center Building from 2 – 4 P.M. At 2:30 a reflection of her life will be shared by some of her fellow colleagues.

Afterwards all who wish may relate their memories. Light refreshments will be served.
