Oceanside CA— Earlier today, Thursday, June 06, 2019, Oceanside Police responded to a call of a person not breathing at 3229 Mission Cove Way.
When officers arrived, they found the 41 year-old victim lying on the floor of his apartment deceased. The victim had sustained trauma to his upper body.
He was the renter of the apartment, however, he was allowing an acquaintance to temporarily stay there.
When Investigators arrived they determined that this acquaintance, identified as Michael Newton 66 years of age was responsible for the victims death and was arrested.
The case investigation is ongoing by this departments Crimes of Violence Unit.
