Oceanside CA— Six local female authors will celebrate Women’s History Month on March 14 from 2 PM to 4 PM at Barnes & Noble, El Camino North Shopping Center, 2615 Vista Way, Oceanside, CA 92054.
Meet these remarkable women who are making history today: Oyuki Aguilar, memoir, The Art of Parenting; Sarah Bates, historical fiction, The Lost Diaries of Elizabeth Cady Stanton; Janice Coy, suspense novels, The Water’s Fine, A Grave in the Garden, The Smallest of Waves, A Table on Kilimanjaro, North of Eden; Sylvia Mendoza, biography, Sonia Sotomayor and The Book of Latino Women; Suzette Valle, family entertainment, 101 Movies to See Before You Grow Up; and Wanjiru Warama, memoir, Unexpected America, Entangled in America and Years of Shame.
A percent of sales benefit the Carlsbad, Oceanside and Vista branches of the American Association of University Women whose financial goal is scholarships for local girls.
