Vista CA— The City of Vista’s Recreation & Community Services Department announces that registration for its Summer Day Camp program begins Tues., April 13, at 9 a.m. Registration will be conducted online at vistarecreation.com or by phone at (760) 643-5272.
Weekly camps are June 21-August 13 at the Jim Porter Recreation Center, 1200 Vale Terrace Dr., Vista. Fees per week are $180 for Vista residents and $220 for all others. Single-day registrations accepted for August 16 and August 17 for $54 per day.
Young people in grades 9-11 interested in becoming future camp leaders may register for the Counselor in Training program. This program provides training, skills and experience necessary to be part of the counselor team. The weekly rate is $90 for Vista residents or $105 for all others.
Day camps follow the guidelines of current COVID-19 health orders from the State and County. Recreation has instituted health and safety protocols, which applies to parents, campers, and staff and can be found at cityofvista.com/daycamp.
Camps are divided by age group, and activities include crafts, games, science, sports, music, and other fun age-appropriate activities. Camps are weekdays from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. with extended care at no additional cost 7 a.m.-6 p.m.
