Oceanside CA— A grand opening ceremony for the City of Oceanside’s El Corazon Aquatics and Events Center will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 3306 Senior Center Drive in Oceanside. The event will mark the beginning of the City’s largest aquatics facility located in the heart of Oceanside. The ceremony will feature opening remarks by City officials, aquatic demonstrations, and tours of the new facility.
The world-class aquatics center will provide competition-level amenities to serve Oceanside residents, school districts, and host regional meets and competitions. In addition to competitive amenities, the aquatics center accommodates recreational features for all. Main components include a 56-meter competition pool, diving boards, instructional pool, splash pad, administrative offices, meeting rooms, a large multi-purpose events center, locker rooms, and viewing areas. The aquatics center adds to the active synergy taking place at the El Corazon property.
A soft opening will take place on August 2, 2021, accommodating primarily teams and clubs as we train staff and prepare for full operations beginning on August 22, 2021.
