Oceanside CA— Just before 3:30 Monday afternoon, November 8, 2021, Oceanside Fire Department units responded to a reported residential structure fire in the 1000 block of Village Court.
The first engine on scene arrived seven minutes after the initial alarm and found a two-story house with grey smoke coming from a 2nd story window. Bystanders stated owners may not be home but two large dogs where in the house.
Fire crews forced entry through the front door, isolated and extinguished the fire to the kitchen area, and ensured the dogs where safe while clearing the house of the smoke.
Units remained on scene for an additional thirty minutes to ensure no extension and wait for the owners to reunite them with their dogs.
