Pala CA— The Medical Examiner’s Office has completed the autopsy related to a homicide earlier this week on the Pala Reservation. On April 25, 2016, at about 12:19 a.m., deputies from the Valley Center Sheriff’s Station received a radio call of a shooting at the same location.
At this point, it appears the victim was sitting in a vehicle when unknown persons shot several rounds into the vehicle striking the victim multiple times. Paramedics were called to the scene and attempted lifesaving measures, unfortunately the victim succumbed to his injuries.
The victim has been identified as Pala resident Bruce Molina, age 58. The cause of death was gunshot trauma and the manner was homicide.
