Carlsbad CA—This afternoon, August 19, 2016 at 1:22 p.m., Carlsbad Police Officers attempted to stop a stolen Green Honda CRV north bound in the 5600 block of Avenida Encinas. The driver fled reaching speeds of 60 MPH.
The driver turned west on Cannon Road and collided with two vehicles causing injuries to another driver. The driver of the stolen Honda was identified as 36 year-old Christina Rodriguez from Escondido and the passenger was identified as 25 year-old Danny Hernandez from Escondido.
Rodriguez was booked into Vista Jail for Felony evading causing injury, Auto Theft, Possession of Burglary Tools and Possession of Stolen Property. Hernandez was arrested for Auto Theft, Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Burglary Tools and Felony Warrants.
